I’ve just got back from being away for seven weeks with my daughter to find an enormous amount of post to go through, including my magazines. It seems to me that machine knitting is picking up in the UK, as it has here in North America.

The 9th World Sheep & Wool Congress was held here in Sydney over Easter and the NSW Machine Knitting Association was asked to knit some mini scarves to put in the delegates’ bags.

It was good to meet you at the Nottingham Show in April and I was so pleased to be able to talk to you. I’ve been giving our brief conversation some thought, so I thought I would put it down in writing for you as you were so busy on your stand. Having spoken to lots of machine knitters I have begun to realise we all have something in common and that is a stash of machine knitting wool, but what to do with all these small cones or oddments?
