Machine Knitting Live Croydon

Back to calendar

At John Ruskin College, Selsdon Park Road, South Croydon, Surrey CR2 8JJ on July 18th 2009

We’ve everything well in hand for this year’s Croydon show in July. It’s a great day out for machine knitters and this year’s date is Saturday 18th July 2009. The doors are open from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm at John Ruskin College in Selsdon Park Road, Selsdon and the exhibition will include the usual mix of patterns, demonstrations, yarns, books and knitting machines. It will be nice to see old friends again and you’ll find MKM at the show entrance from the car park at the back of the building.

You can buy tickets here.

We featured Les and Tess in Spotlight in April 2008, Issue 123.

FASHION SHOW
As last year, Beryl Dowell and members of her knitting club will present the fashion show in the lovely air-conditioned suite. We hold the fashion show in the middle of the day and entrance is free. We include lots of club garments specially made for the show, so there’s something new to see this year.

MACHINES & ACCESSORIES
There will be new and pre-owned fully guaranteed knitting machines with a wide range of accessories at very affordable prices. If you’d like to find out more about buying and using a machine and be given free advice from long-established and highly reputable companies, the experts will be on hand from Heathercraft and Undy Yarns.

PARKING
Parking again is right outside the back door of the college. The main bus route is on the road outside the school.

REFRESHMENTS
The college caterers will provide drinks and refreshments at very reasonable prices. We use the college dining room with lots of seating.

TALKS
There will be two free talks in the air-conditioned suite, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, to be given by two of our eminent exhibitors.

YARNS
You’ll find lots to tempt you from Bunglebee Yarns (including King Cole and Yeoman), Nina Miklin, Riverside, Silkwood Angoras, Shades of Cashmere, Thread Yarn & Fabric, Undy and Uppingham plus Bennett Wools with the popular button selection. So, you’ve no excuse – you should have used up all the dreary, dull cones on charity knitting or given them away by now. It’s looking good, so please try and join us on the day.
